My son had only been taking lessons for two months, but was almost able to play every song. All the songs are familiar Christmas carols.

Most students who need a pre-reading book of carols have not yet learned to read eighth notes. Those are introduced after students are reading on the grand staff. the primer books are filled with carols without eighth notes and it would seem that this book could be as well.
