Piano Lessons by Desiree Lafaut

My daughter has DCD and Desiree has the patiences to get her to focus and play. The points reward system is awesome and helps her to practice and work towards something. Highly recommend.

Desiree is hands down, the most amazing teacher ever! She had taught me for 11 wonderful and musical years. She helped me build extreme confidence in myself, as a pianist and to become a piano teacher myself. (Something I never thought when I first started that I would ever do). She gave me all the tools I needed to play with passion and excitement! She is so passionate about music and helps you to understand theory and what is going on in every piece. I believe it is so important to have this passion for music, because otherwise, it's hard for the students to grow and become ambitious without it!

Her group classes and recitals have never been anything less than entertaining and full of amazing memories! She always got us ready for festival, and every student always placed. We won scholarships which was super rewarding and even the chance to perform at provincials if all went well! At the end of festival season, Desiree was the first one to have the biggest smile and the most sincere response to how proud she was of you.

She always encourages students to be themselves and encourages their wishes on what they wanted to accomplish as pianists. I'm am so proud to have had the opportunity to work with her and become the pianist I am today, because of her! If I could go back and take lessons all over again, she would be the first one I'd go to! I highly recommend her; the best teacher in Beaumont!

I love going to Deziree's studio for piano lessons. I started piano when I was in high school so I was worried I was starting late and thought it might affect my motivation. Deziree takes our goals into consideration and helps us choose songs that will keep our interest. I look forward to my Friday evening lessons!

I can't say enough about what an amazing teacher and mentor Desiree has been in my many years as her student. She took me from having an interest in piano to making a career out of it. Her lessons are always spot on - she's a very intuitive teacher, and knows exactly what to work on in each lesson for the student and the music to get the most benefit.
