Terrence Butler
I am passionate about my work. I love imparting knowledge and skill to my students. I want the best for them. Every person is different . I try to assess the best way to teach my students and then tailor a long term plan for gradual growth towards a desired musical goal.
I like seeing the growth and confidence spiral upward and outward in every individual that I teach. I have been involved with music most of my life. I began by singing in my church and school choirs. I began playing the piano around 9 years old and initially studied at the Brooklyn Academy of Music , music school.
I began playing for church choirs and small Gospel groups in high school. While at Columbia University I decided to major in music. During my time there I formed the Gospel Choir which is still active decades later, I was also the keyboard player for a fusion group called Headway.
I have been teaching seriously since 2000 and full time online since the advent of Covid. Music is my passion in life. I thoroughly enjoy what I do.
I promise you friendly , professional service plus a whole lot of fun !
