I am very passionate about teaching piano and sharing my love of music with others. With over 40 years of teaching experience, I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music through the Music Teachers National Association and the Texas Music Teachers Association; additionally, I am currently the President of the Independent Music Teachers Association of Greater Houston. I am a member of the American College of Musicians (the National Guild of Piano Teachers). I hold two Bachelor of Music degrees (Piano Performance and Theory/Composition) from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas; I also hold a Master of Music degree (Music Performance & Pedagogy) from the University of Houston.

My students participate in many festivals, competitions, recitals, and other events throughout the year, from local to national levels. I teach students of all ages and levels of experience, from beginners to advanced students.

My first Piano Teacher was my mom who was always bringing students to our house. How she taught them to love music, and play the piano was beyond just "good". She truly inspired me to become a Piano Teacher myself!
Being a gifted girl, my mom decided that her knowledge wasn't enough any longer, so, she enrolled me to Music School for gifted children.

At the age of 15, I got into a Music College, and was allowed to work there as well as a Piano Accompanist.
From when I was 16 y.o., while being in college for 4 years, I started playing piano on a big stage, and entering the national competitions. It was a fabulous time! Lots of prizes were won, lots of fun playing music, and listening to other amazing performers. Time passed, I graduated with Honours and got my Bachelor's in Arts, Piano Performance and Piano Accompanying Degree.

After graduating the Music College, I felt that being only a concert Pianist and a Piano Accompanist wasn't satisfying anymore as I felt I could share my skills and knowledge with someone else. That's why I decided to enroll to a Pedagogical University which after studying there for 5 years, I graduated with Masters Cum Laude (the highest distinction) Degrees in Music Education and Music. This education gave me a broader knowledge and skills to teach not only Piano and Theory, but Voice as well.

I'm a Registered Teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music, RCM Teacher #104903 , and I'm also a Certified Teacher with Ontario College of Teachers in Good standing, Registration Number: 636014.

Since that time, many years have passed... I raised thousands professional performers, and those who wanted to learn playing piano for themselves. Overall, my teaching experience is more than 30 years.
I started in Ukraine, my motherland, and continued here, in Canada. And let me tell you - all of my students were really as those bright SPARKS - they had sparks starting learning how to play the piano, they had the sparks doing recitals, exams, and competitions, and they still have those sparks towards me, their Teacher. That's why I named my school as SPARKS MUSIC ACADEMY!

And in addition to being the TEACHER, I continue my work as a PIANO ACCOMPANIST and CONCERT PIANIST all around the city as I cannot live without your majesty, MUSIC!

Amazing gift, 🎼! I teach keyboard, brass, vocal, theory, etc. I’m based at my home studio near Santiago Canyon College. Obviously personality and fit is essential...so that one day I might be invited to graduation and may be play at student’s wedding.
Currently, students between 5-63 yrs but I have had an 83 yr old! I’m working mostly in person, but some remain online. I also travel to a few. Most are piano, but brass and vocal too.
Passions - music, soccer, Cad. milk choc., travel, culture, Faith, learning, & family (first!)🤣.
Holistic approach, enabling a musician rather than a pianist/trumpeter, channeled in a fun and exciting way.
Royal Schools of Music & London University music background as well as conducting brass/choral groups and playing/teaching at advanced level. Love those that start from scratch! This is more than a business-a mission and vision to see students be the best they can be in life and music.
My rates are $40/30 mins. but most studios are $35-55 and you could probably find a current music student for $32. Experience of directing camps across the US and wider. Care for the individual. Two low key recitals per year. As much fun in learning as possible.

Started learning piano when I was 5, finished ARCT performer diploma at age 16. During the years of piano studies, I have learned to love music with a passionate heart. I hope to share my experience in music with students, and not just focus on fingering and static practices, but really foster a loving heart towards music. Learn to appreciate music,
By appreciating great works from famous composers. My favorite composer is Chopin, as his music is really delicate that touches my heart. I hope my students can find out what composers' music that touches their heart, through interactive lessons with me.
