Michael
An active member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association (ORMTA) Kingston Branch and National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Michael Faulkner holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Queen’s University, Kingston and is also a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music A.R.C.T. (Piano Performer and Teacher, Vocal Performer and Teacher). Michael is also a member of the Canadian Music Festivals Adjudicators Association (CMFAA) and has adjudicated numerous music festivals, competitions as well as giving Masterclasses and performances within these communities across Canada.
Known for his musical insight, beautiful tone and technical command, Michael began his music studies at age four, participating in numerous music festivals and competitions receiving many top awards and distinctions.
Michael enjoys a rewarding career as teacher of more than 60 weekly students of all ages and levels in piano, voice, pedagogy and theory. He teaches in person and online to students from across the country. His YouTube educational music channel is used by music students worldwide. Many of his students have received top honours, distinctions and awards throughout Canada and a large number have pursued careers in music as well. He also actively performs in his own community and across Canada and is well versed in Opera, Oratorio and Music Theatre repertoire.
As an accompanist Michael is in high demand working with singers and instrumentalists of all ages and abilities from beginner to professional level. Michael has also enjoyed working for a number of years with Conservatory Canada as an examiner in piano and voice. He is a member teacher with Music for Young Children (MYC) and believes the start of music education at an early age is very important. For more than 35 years Michael has worked as a Church musician and frequently is asked to provide musical service and guidance to many Worship denominations. Michael’s community choir in the Quinte region “Let’s Make a Choir” and already has more than 50 voices singing for various charities and he has now started the “Let’s Make a Choir Childrens’ Choir” which is a joy to hear the young voices in song together. Michael believes that music is a lifelong passion and is always looking for new musical challenges and enrichment. Michael is an avid animal lover and enjoys skiing, hiking, attending music concerts and theatre.

Applause Piano Studio offer both a Preparatory Piano Program (PrePiano) for ages 4, 5, and 6+ who are not ready for a formal private lesson. Private lessons are offered for ages 7-85 and include 30, 45, or 60 minute private lessons with a teacher who holds 3 degrees in Music and has been teaching for over 40 years and loving EVERY MOMENT!
In the PrePiano program, children learn the foundations of music, geared to the piano, through games, movement, singing, dancing and many fun activities. The small group setting fosters a love of learning, community and MUSIC!
Private lessons include theory, sight reading, performance skills, games and "off the bench" activities.

Beatrice Studio
An experienced music teacher and teaching piano lessons and music theory for all level children to adult. The music Studio is a positive learning place and enthusiastic atmosphere, piano lessons on a 5'10" grand piano. Beatrice emphasizes proper technique and music theory for all of her students, her ultimate goal is to create well-rounded musicians. Students can opt to take piano examination and music theory examination.

Ludovica Tassani
Born in Rimini, Italy, Ludovica Tassani began studying piano at the age of four with her mother and taking formal piano lessons when she was six. At age ten she was admitted at the “Gioacchino Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro where she studied with Maestro Annibale Rebaudengo and Marco Cola and she got the Piano degree after 10 rigorous years of Piano instruction. After having received the Piano degree, at the same Conservatory, she began to study harpsichord with Mrs. Maria Letizia Pascoli. There she obtained her second degree in harpsichord. Mrs. Tassani also attended the piano courses at the Music Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, Italy, studying with Maestro Franco Scala, Piero Rattalino and Piernarciso Masi. She attended masterclasses of “Clavicordo, Clavicembalo, Fortepiano e Basso Continuo” with the famous harpsichord player/teacher Mrs. Emilia Fadini in Milan.
Ludovica Tassani held recitals as a pianist and harpsichord player around Italy and Europe, she played with several Baroque Orchestras and played in duo with Maestro Dante Milozzi, Rino Vernizzi, Claudio Casadei, Emmanuele Baldini and in many Chamber orchestras. Additionally, she has made several recordings with various Baroque groups. From 1989 to 2007 she has been Organist and Music Director of the “Santa Rita” Church in her hometown, Rimini.
After having earned her first music degree she began to teach Piano and general Music. Mrs. Tassani has almost 30 years of experience teaching hundreds of students of all ages who got accepted into the best Conservatories of Music in Italy and Music schools in USA.
Ludovica Tassani also has a Doctorate degree in Political Science from University of Urbino, Italy.
